"La increible aventura" to ostatni album zespołu - z 2004 roku.
Później muzycy Migali założyli odrębne zespoły: Num9, El Hijo i Fantsy Bar. Wszystkie te zespoły wydają nadal płyty w labelu Acuarela.
Dodana płyta DVD zawiera videoclipy do wszystkich utworów z płyty.
All Migala’s records from “Diciembre 3 a.m.” to “Arde” (released by Sup Pop in the US and Poplane in France) talked about winter, summer, flames and embers, and about what’s left when there’s nothing left at all, using a chronological music process that seemed to be conceived as a part of a concept. Without realising, they’ve built a skeleton of a story that reflected the essence of rock music itself: tradition, classicism, discovery, creative impulse, the passing of time, fear of death, art as a scapegoat, experiments and experimenting… And then a hangover, a firstly anticipated and later delayed split up, and finally reconstruction -what’s left after a fire. But now, in their new album, released this year under the significant title of “La increíble aventura” (“The incredible adventure”), there’s no longer a trace of fire or ice, smoke or seasons, heaven or hell. The record has ten songs that seem to hover in an eternal renewal of energy: each and every second of Migala’s new album reflects all the colours of the rainbow.
But what do we have in “La increíble aventura”? The noise of cars and life in full flow. Valleys and prairies. Large open spaces. Violence about to burst. Garages at the train station, industrial estates where beds are built for lovers to meet, smoke columns and a tall chimney with white, glittering lights, refrigeration towers, cranes…instrumental rock, songs on the borderline, landscapes seen from behind the wheel, strings, sonic whirlwinds, Sergio Leone, white noise, melodies, Nino Rota, textures, lyrics (occasionally) that no longer look at themselves in memory’s review mirror, but use the hyper-reality of the present moment. The record stages a total rigour regarding aesthetics, emotions, creativity and sentiment, as it’s certainly true that some decisions can only be taken by acting accordingly.
Migala have produced a record that is full of life: from the math-rock of “El tigre que hay en ti” (“The tiger within you”) to the border references of “Sonnenwende”, from pop-folk classicism of “Your Star, Strangled” to the epic of “Lecciones de vuelo con Mathias Rust”, passing through poetic pieces such as “El gran miércoles” (“The great Wednesday”), one of the two only songs of the record in which Abel Hernández sings. All in all, a record that flows in a natural and exuberant way, with a life of its own that is continuously reabsorbed. “La increíble aventura” is a hard and sincere release that appeals more to the heart than the mind, a compilation of songs that can be labelled as rock post (rather than post-rock), that is, a free concept of strategies and intellectual scaffolding born to be played live. And it marks the rebirth of Migala, a group that have received a transfusion of their own blood. Migala have had good fun composing and recording this album. Here, Migala bear their teeth and prove that some things have to be turned over to get a better grip, like turning a sand clock, and we’re young once again, showing our fangs, with the constant tension and danger of teenagers.
